Here are two more form the fire session from a couple of weeks ago.

1]
Nikon F4
Nikkor Glass Lens
F/3.5
Bulb setting for 13 seconds

This was a little long on the exposure and when I first looked at it, I was a little apprehensive about doing anything with it, but the more and more I looked at it, I really began to like it. It's very surreal to me, as if watching someone walk into flames, and be engulfed by them; pasionately and completely, not knowing if they will be burned or not; not really caring if they are burned or not.

2]
Nikon F4
Nikkor Glass Lens
Aperture F/3.5
"Bulb" setting for longer exposure for 3.5 seconds.

In looking at the photograph, it loos as though there is a "head" of a dragon to the right of the frame, which makes it look as though she is chasing a dragon.

beauty shots!

your framing is great! i know composition is dicey on long shots like that... you kinda get what the performer gives you. great work, especially with that first one. the "dragon effect" on the second one is fun, too.

Re: beauty shots!

The performer tried really hard to stay still, but alas, she couldn't. I've done a few more with them, and they are getting better at giving me what I want, as in standing in the same spot for about 10 seconds or so.

Framing just "Happens" for me...it always has. Sometimes I do it on purpose, and sometimes, in the moment, it...well, Just happens. either way, I'm always happy with the end results.
